The Village Children’s Market
Nurturing Young Minds, Building Strong Foundations
At The Village, a cherished department within Sahmara’s Corner, we are committed to providing children with the tools, knowledge, and experiences that will help them thrive academically, emotionally, and socially. Our innovative program combines outdoor education, community engagement, and wellness practices to foster a nurturing environment where children are encouraged to learn, grow, and connect with the world around them.
One of the unique aspects of The Village is our outdoor Kids Village Farmers Market Experience in Roberta, GA, where children come together to explore the world of entrepreneurship and community-building. Each week, homeschooled children participate in skill-building meetups, working on a variety of hands-on activities that prepare them for our exciting children’s market. This market allows kids from all over to become vendors, offering their homemade goods, crafts, and produce while gaining real-world experience in managing a business.

Through our weekly meetups, children not only develop essential skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and communication, but they also cultivate a sense of entrepreneurial spirit, creativity, and confidence. Every child is encouraged to contribute and share their talents in a supportive environment, allowing them to build independence and pride in their work.
At The Village, we believe that learning goes beyond textbooks. We prioritize creating a safe and inclusive space where children can be themselves, ask questions, and explore new ideas. Our curriculum is designed to nurture curiosity, critical thinking, and emotional well-being through activities such as fable reading and storytelling. After each story, children engage in hands-on exercises where they map out narratives and reflect on important lessons, helping them develop deeper comprehension and connection to the material.
Each session also incorporates a wellness practice, including activities like Shinrin-yoku (forest bathing) during nature walks. These practices allow children to reconnect with nature, build mindfulness, and manage stress, ensuring they leave each session feeling balanced, centered, and ready to take on new challenges.
Through The Village, we are cultivating a holistic learning environment that not only focuses on academic growth but also empowers children to develop the emotional intelligence, resilience, and community-mindedness they need to succeed in all areas of life. Our program fosters a love of learning, encourages emotional growth, and creates lasting connections that inspire children to grow with confidence, curiosity, and kindness.
